The New Region will provide reporting and fresh perspectives from the ground in Iraq and across the wider Middle East. As geopolitical alliances shift and sway, we will help keep both Iraqis and the international community abreast of what they need to know, when they need to know it.
We will provide news stories, in-depth features, and opinion pieces.
In the coming weeks, we will also incorporate a section on the country’s laws and how they are being used or abused - implemented or ignored – and seek to keep environmental issues front and center in a Plants and People section.
Based in Iraq, we will have commentary and reporting from across the country as well as beyond.
