The head of Erbil municipality said that the sectoral map for 50,000 land plots have been prepared

 

ERBIL, Kurdistan Region of Iraq - Around 50,000 plots of land have been prepared to be distributed to the Kurdistan Region’s civil servants in Erbil province, according to the head of municipality.

 

Karzani Hadi, head of Erbil municipality, told The New Region that, in coordination with the planning directorate, they continue working on preparing the sectoral maps for land plots that will be distributed to civil servants in the future.

 

He said that sector maps have been prepared for around 50,000 plots of land, of which about 3,000 plots have already been distributed. The beneficiaries so far have been employees of the Ministry of Planning, Ministry of Municipalities and Tourism, and the Kurdistan parliament, according to Hadi.

 

“Our employees stay at the municipality office until 9 pm and are continuously working on the process and verify the names,” said Hadi, adding that the process of distributing land plots is ongoing.

 

During the tenure of Prime Minister Masrour Barzani, the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) has launched hundreds of endeavors across all sectors aimed at improving the livelihood of the people of the Kurdistan Region.

 

The ninth cabinet carried out 430 projects, including 185 in Erbil, 94 in Sulaimani, 84 in Duhok, five in Halabja, 24 in Garmiyan administration, 15 in Raparin administration, 15 in Zakho administration, and eight in Soran administration between 2019 and 2024.

 

The projects were across the sectors of trade, banks, health, industry, tourism, agriculture and housing.
