ERBIL, Kurdistan Region of Iraq - At least four people lost their lives after an ambulance helicopter crashed into a hospital building in southwest Turkey’s Mugla province, later falling into an empty field.
The helicopter, belonging to the health ministry, was heading toward Antalya before crashing into the Training and Research Hospital building in Mugla’s Mentese district, according to the province's Governor Idris Akbiyik.
Two pilots, one doctor, and one health care worker were killed as a result of the incident, Akbiyik announced
The governor extended his condolences to the families of the victims and said they are currently investigating the cause of the crash, noting that there was “dense fog” in the area.

"We wish God's mercy upon our martyrs and patience for their families and loved ones. Our condolences. Investigations into the incident are ongoing and the necessary information will be provided to the public,” read a statement from the Turkish health ministry.
Turkish Vice President Cevdet Yilmaz also offered his condolences to the families of the victims and the healthcare community, emphasizing that relevant authorities will continue to investigate the incident.
