Abu Yaqoub cherishes memories of the once-vibrant Hamdan River. Since the Ottoman times, the river had sustained locals through agriculture and fishing. Today, illegal fishing and salinity threaten its beauty. Yet, amidst the challenges, resilient families remain guardians of what is left. Abu Yaqoub dreams of a restored Hamdan, echoing its past splendor—a haven where nature thrives, and old stories endure.
