Secretary Blinken at Davos: US sees no potential for negotiations to end Russia's Ukraine invasion. Emphasizes Russia must show genuine willingness to engage in talks; pledges US support when such negotiations occur.

The United States does "not see" the possibility of a negotiations to bring an end to Russia's invasion of Ukraine, Secretary of State Antony Blinken says during a panel at the World Economic Forum in Davos, adding that "there has to be a willingness on the part of Russia to engage, to negotiate in good faith." "If and when Russia is prepared to negotiate on that basis it will find Ukrainians who want to do that," Blinken tells the gathering of global elites in the ritzy Swiss alpine ski resort, adding that when Russia is willing to do so "it will certainly find support from the United States."
