Iraq is amongst the countries most affected by climate change globally. Dropping water levels and increasing dust storms have led thousands into displacement across the country and resulted in wide demographic change. The New Region on January 27 hosted an X Space discussing the impacts of climate change in Iraq with insights of following speakers: Fareed Yasseen, Bayan Sami Abdulrahman, Khaled Sulaiman, Zeinab Shuker.
