Citizens in Soran flock to polls as Iraqi elections continue

Thousands in the Soran Independent Administration head to the polls to cast their ballots as Iraq's parliamentary elections carry on throughout Tuesday. 

The vote began at 7:00 am and is set to last until 6:00 pm, after which time the polls will close. The results are set to be announced within 24 hours of the elections. 

More than 20 million people are eligible to participate in the vote, with over 7,750 candidates competing for the legislature's 329 seats
