ERBIL, Kurdistan Region of Iraq - Prime Minister Masrour Barzani is set to represent the Kurdistan Region and meet with world leaders at the 56th World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos-Klosters, Switzerland, which is set to kick off on Monday.
Barzani will lead a high-level Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) delegation, which includes 20 domestic investors from different sectors, including housing, energy, technology, internet networks, industry, agriculture, tourism and transportation, and logistics.
The Kurdistan Region has participated in the forum for years and had its Kurdistan House opened two years ago. During the four-day conference, a large number of high-level meetings will be held at the House.

This year’s event, running from January 19 until 23, will see around 3,000 leaders and senior officials, 65 heads of state and premiers, and nearly 850 company heads participate.
“World leaders from government, business, civil society, and academia will convene in Davos to engage in forward-looking discussions to address global issues and set priorities,” the forum’s website read.
