“The only battles they ‘win’ are those that they create through AI, and are distributed by corrupt media outlets,” he added, stating that AI has become “another disinformation weapon” used by Iran.

ERBIL, Kurdistan Region of Iraq - US President Donald Trump on Sunday accused Iran of spreading AI-generated images of attacks on US assets, saying “the only battles they ‘win’ are those that they create through AI.”

Iranian media has been accused of dispersing inaccurate claims to magnify the extent of damage caused by its attacks on US and Israeli interests since the start of the war, with allegations of sharing AI-generated images in some instances.

“Iran has long been known as a master of media manipulation and public relations. They are militarily ineffective and weak, but are really good at ‘feeding’ the very appreciative Fake News Media false information,” Trump said on Truth Social.

“The only battles they ‘win’ are those that they create through AI, and are distributed by corrupt media outlets,” he added, stating that AI has become “another disinformation weapon” used by Iran.

Social media platform X on March 3 announced it would be suspending users who post AI-generated videos of an armed conflict without disclaimer from the Creator Revenue Sharing for 90 days.

“During times of war, it is critical that people have access to authentic information on the ground. With today’s AI technologies, it is trivial to create content that can mislead people,” said Nikita Bar, head of product at X.
