"For Iran, the Clock is Ticking, and they better get moving, FAST, or there won't be anything left of them. TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE!" the US president said.

ERBIL, Kurdistan Region of Iraq – US President Donald Trump on Sunday warned Iran to “get moving, FAST, or there won’t be anything left of them,” coming hours after a reported phone call between Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu took place.

“For Iran, the Clock is Ticking, and they better get moving, FAST, or there won't be anything left of them. TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE!“ the US president warned in a post on Truth Social.

Trump’s warning came shortly after US and Israeli media reported a phone call between Netanyahu and Trump. Citing Netanyahu’s office, The Times of Israel said that discussions revolved around the Iran war.

The American and Israeli leaders are mulling restarting the war with Iran, Western and Israeli outlets report, as a two-week ceasefire that was initially announced by Trump on April 8 has been extended for several weeks beyond its deadline.

The ceasefire was meant to halt hostilities while the two warring sides attempted to reach an agreement. The prospect of a permanent end to the conflict has been rocky, however.

The American president on Friday said that he rejected Iran's latest peace proposal after reading the first sentence, asserting that Tehran did not offer sufficient guarantees regarding the ending of its nuclear program, though adding that a 20-year moratorium on Iran’s enrichment program would be acceptable to Washington.

The suffocating restrictions on the vital Strait of Hormuz and its rippling economic consequences have also piled the pressure on Washington to settle the conflict, as a substantial portion of the world’s energy supply is transported through the strategic waterway that is currently blockaded by Iran.
