“Apart from material damage, the drone attack caused no casualties, and Komala’s Peshmerga in the area are safe,” it added.

ERBIL, Kurdistan Region of Iraq – A drone attack targeted a camp belonging to the Iranian opposition group Komala of the Toilers of Kurdistan (Zahmatkeshan) in Erbil's Soran administration on Saturday, resulting in material damage and no casualties.

“As part of the continuing terrorist attacks by the Islamic Republic’s Revolutionary Guards, at 10 pm tonight, one of Komala’s headquarters in the Alana Valley in the Balisan area was targeted by an explosive-laden Shahed drone,” the party said in a statement.

“Apart from material damage, the drone attack caused no casualties, and Komala’s Peshmerga in the area are safe,” it added.

The Kurdistan Region has repeatedly come under Iranian attacks following renewed hostilities between Tehran and Washington, with strikes focusing on US interests and bases of Iranian Kurdish opposition groups.

Last Saturday, the Komala Party of Iranian Kurdistan in Erbil was targeted in a drone attack.

The Kurdistan Region has long insisted upon its neutrality in the broader regional conflict and repeatedly condemned Iranian strikes.

Tehran in May declared the Kurdistan Region a site of “hostile bases” under its security doctrine, making the Region a subject to preemptive strikes.

A missile strike targeting a Komala Party of Iranian Kurdistan base in Sulaimani's Zirgwezala area in the Tanjaro subdistrict killed at least 10 people in July, marking the deadliest attack on the Kurdistan Region since the start of the US-Israel war with Iran.
