Prominent Iraqi Sunni politician urges partnership with Kurds, rejects selective governance
Prominent Iraqi Sunni politician and leader of the Sovereignty Alliance Khamis al-Khanjar said Iraq cannot form a government without the participation of Erbil and President Masoud Barzani, calling the Kurdish leader a “model for Iraq” in an interview with The New Region. He also criticized the influence of armed militias and the selective application of the constitution.
