Iraq seeks resumption of Kurdish oil exports, considers reviving pipeline with Syria

Iraq is advancing efforts to resume oil exports from the Kurdistan Region through Turkey's Ceyhan port, following a halt since March 2023 due to a legal dispute. Baghdad is also exploring the revival of the Kirkuk-Baniyas pipeline to the Mediterranean, a project estimated to cost $8 billion and take years to complete.
