“I would like to invite new friends to come and look at Kurdistan as a potential place for investment. We are located in the heart of the Middle East … and I think Kurdistan is a place that everybody should look at,” Barzani affirmed.

ERBIL, Kurdistan Region of Iraq – Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Masrour Barzani on Wednesday highlighted the achievements of his cabinet, inviting further international investment in the Region with Erbil seeking to cement its footprint regionally and globally.

“There is a lot more that we can do, and Kurdistan could be a hub of connecting the region through energy,” Barzani said at a private event hosted by the Iraqi-Kurdish oil company KAR Group on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos.

“I would like to invite new friends to come and look at Kurdistan as a potential place for investment. We are located in the heart of the Middle East … and I think Kurdistan is a place that everybody should look at,” the premier affirmed.

Barzani further highlighted the achievements of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG), such as the landmark round-the-clock electricity program, Runaki, which seeks to provide 24-hour electricity across the Kurdistan Region by the end of 2026.

“We would like to invite everyone to come and look at Kurdistan for its potential, for the role it can play, and also to help the rest of the region,” the prime minister continued.
