Camps housing Iranian Kurdish opposition members in the Kurdistan Region have been repeatedly targeted by Iranian strikes since the outbreak of the regional conflict, with attacks continuing amid a shaky ceasefire between the warring parties.

ERBIL, Kurdistan Region of Iraq – Civilian camps and bases belonging to four Iranian Kurdish opposition groups were once again targeted by several Iranian drone and missile attacks on late Wednesday, with no casualties reported.

Camps housing Iranian Kurdish opposition members in the Kurdistan Region have been repeatedly targeted by Iranian strikes since the outbreak of the regional conflict, with attacks continuing amid a shaky ceasefire between the warring parties.

Three civilian camps belonging to Iranian Kurdish opposition groups were targeted in drone and missile attacks on Wednesday night, mainly in the Kurdistan Region.

The Komala of the Toilers of Kurdistan was subjected to an attack at approximately 9:30 pm on Wednesday via two drone strikes, senior party member Ali Ranjbari told The New Region.

No casualties were reported, according to Ranjbari, who noted that the group’s camps have been targeted around 130 times since the Iran war began.

The Kurdistan Democratic Party of Iran (KDPI), another Iranian Kurdish opposition group, also came under attack.

“The civilian Jezhnikan camp belonging to the Kurdistan Democratic Party of Iran (KDPI) was once again targeted by drones from the Islamic Republic,” the group said. The camp is located in the Kurdistan Region’s Erbil province.

The attack was carried out with one drone, with no casualties reported, the KDPI said.

The developments were followed by an attack on the base of the Organization of Iranian Kurdistan Struggle (Khabat) in Nineveh province, which was targeted by two drones, the group confirmed to The New Region, noting that no casualties were reported.

Soon after, Komala Party of Iranian Kurdistan in the Kurdistan Region also reported that “the Islamic Republic of Iran has once again targeted the civilian camps of the group with one drone and one missile,” adding that no casualties were reported.

The groups are among the six members of the Iranian Kurdish opposition coalition known as the “Alliance of Political Forces of Iranian Kurdistan,” formed in February in a landmark step toward a unified Kurdish opposition in Iran.

The strikes carried out against the opposition groups in the Kurdistan Region have killed 10 people and wounded several others since late February, following the outbreak of the US-Israel war with Iran.

In April, the alliance of Iranian Kurdish opposition groups condemned the repeated Iranian strikes on their bases in the Kurdistan Region, calling on the UN and the international community to take a stand against the attacks.
