Iran's IRGC on Saturday announced that Hamas political chief Ismail Haniyeh was killed with a seven-kilogram warhead fired from outside the residence he was staying at.

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) on Saturday released a statement, the third since the death of Hamas political chief Ismael Haniyeh, claiming that Haniyeh was killed with a seven kilogram short-range warhead.

The IRGC statement condemned the recent killing of Haniyeh, accusing the Israeli government, with alleged support from the US, of orchestrating the attack.

According to the statement, the attack was carried out using a short-range projectile equipped with a seven-kilogram warhead, resulting in a powerful explosion.

The projectile was reportedly launched from outside the residence where Haniyeh was staying, IRGC said.

The Revolutionary Guard vowed severe retaliation against the Israeli government, labeling it as "adventurous and terrorist." They pledged that the response would be proportionate and timely.

The statement concluded with a promise of "severe punishment" for those responsible for the attack.

Following the assassination of Haniyeh in Tehran, pro-Iran armed factions have told The New Region that they will not launch attacks from Iraqi soil.

Instead, the retaliation will be carried out by Iranian, Iraqi, Yemeni, Lebanese, Syrian, and Jordanian factions, targeting Israeli interests both on land and at sea.

Haniyeh was killed in a bombing while attending the inauguration ceremony of President Masoud Pezeshkian in Tehran on Wednesday.

The commander of the factions emphasized that the planned response, aligned with the "unity of arenas and joint action" strategy, will focus on Israel and involve a coordinated attack on critical targets.

Iran has condemned any further Israeli actions and warned of significant consequences if provocations continue.
