Yemen’s Houthi rebels announced Tuesday that they successfully carried out drone strikes on Israeli military targets in Jaffa and Eilat in support of Palestinian and Lebanese resistance.

DUBAI, UAE - Yemen’s Houthi rebels on Tuesday announced that they carried out drone strikes targeting Israeli military positions in Jaffa and Eilat as Israel continues its attacks on Gaza and Lebanon.

In a statement, the group said its “air Force used a Yafa drone to strike a military target in the occupied area of Jaffa. Additionally, four Samad 4 drones were launched at military targets in the southern Israeli city of Eilat, also known as Umm al-Rashrash.”

The Houthis claimed both attacks were successful.

The strikes follow an escalation of hostilities, including an Israeli attack on a power station in Yemen’s al-Hudaydah province two days earlier.

According to media reports, several civilians were injured Sunday when Israeli forces targeted the al-Hudaydah power plant in the western Yemeni province.

Ambulance and rescue teams were still working to extract victims from the site, and civil defense forces were battling fires ignited by the attack.

The Houthis’ statement expressed solidarity with Palestinian and Lebanese fighters, praising their resistance against what it described as “Israeli-American aggression” and accusing the two nations of attempting to subjugate countries in the region.

“The Houthis reaffirm their commitment to supporting the Palestinian and Lebanese peoples until the aggression is repelled,” the statement said, calling on Arab and Islamic nations to actively join the fight against Israel.
