“They’re [Iran] dictating every move, giving them the weapons, supplying them with money and highly sophisticated Military equipment, and even, so-called, ‘Intelligence’,” Trump added.

ERBIL, Kurdistan Region of Iraq - United States President Donald Trump on Monday accused Iran of being behind all military actions of Yemen’s Houthi rebel group, vowing “dire consequences” for Tehran in case of any further attacks by the Houthis.

“Let nobody be fooled! The hundreds of attacks being made by Houthi, the sinister mobsters and thugs based in Yemen, who are hated by the Yemeni people, all emanate from, and are created by, IRAN,” wrote Trump on Truth Social.

Trump’s comments come amid renewed US strikes targeting Houthi-held Hodeida and Al-Salif regions in Yemen over the group’s continued attacks on ships in the Red Sea, which they say are carried out in solidarity with Palestinians in Gaza.

“They’re [Iran] dictating every move, giving them the weapons, supplying them with money and highly sophisticated Military equipment, and even, so-called, ‘Intelligence’,” Trump added.

Houth-affiliated media reported fresh US strikes in Yemen on Monday, targeting several areas in Hodeida.

US strikes on Yemen on Saturday killed over 50 people and injured nearly 100 others.

“Every shot fired by the Houthis will be looked upon, from this point forward, as being a shot fired from the weapons and leadership of IRAN, and IRAN will be held responsible, and suffer the consequences, and those consequences will be dire!” said the American president.

Earlier this month, Trump said that he has written a letter to the Iranian leadership, pressing them for talks over the nuclear issue, warning that the other alternative would be military action. Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei rejected the idea of engaging in negotiations with the US on the nuclear issue, calling Washington’s proposal for talks “a deception of public opinion.”
