The Emirati delegation, headed by Hajeri, arrived at Erbil International Airport on Wednesday, where they were received by Safeen Dizayee, head of the Kurdistan Regional Government’s (KRG) Department of Foreign Relations (DFR). The visit aims to strengthen bilateral ties and economic cooperation between the two sides.
Barzani, after welcoming the delegation, pointed to “the importance of the friendly and special relationship between the Kurdistan Region and the UAE,” thanking UAE President Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan for his support and assistance to the Kurdistan Region, according to a statement by the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO).
