Syrian gov't 'closely following' Amnesty report on Alawite massacres
An Amnesty International report into the massacres of Syria's minority Alawite population in March that left over 1,700 dead has been "closely followed" by the Syrian government, who argue that the violence was triggered by "a treacherous and premeditated attack by remnants of the former regime."
