CBI defends Iraqi debt levels as 'within safe limits'
The Central Bank of Iraq said the country’s public debt has reached 91 trillion dinars but remains within safe limits, amounting to 43 percent of the national economy. The bank said borrowing was limited and well-coordinated with the government, adding that Iraq’s external debt does not exceed $13 billion.
