Kurdistan Region arrests nearly 1,500 on drug-related charges in six months

Iraqi, Syrian forces seize 370 kilograms of drugs in joint operation

“One of the Directorate's detachments moved to Syrian territory and, through joint field and intelligence coordination, was able to seize (370) kilograms of narcotic substances and arrest a number of internationally wanted suspects who constitute part of cross-border smuggling networks,” the ministry said in a statement, without disclosing how many suspects were arrested.
